Equipment: Comlink (Built in), Blaster Pistol (Ranged [Light]; Damage 6; Critical 3; Range [Medium]; Stun setting, built in), Utility belt, Glow rod (built in), Slicer gear, Tool kit, Extra reloads, Emergency repair patch (2). Motivation: Greed. Ever since he obtained his 'freedom' TK-412A has found a love for credits and tries at any attempt to gain them either legally or illegally through his slicing abilities. He feels if he collects enough credits he can change his appearance and gain additional programming to function without biological help. Obligation: Criminal. Wanted on several worlds and by the Empire for crimes he and his 'brothers' committed He finds that it is harder to hide as the old RKO Series droids become phased out and deactivated. He already knows that TK-414A has been 'off lined' by the droid hating bounty hunter Beilert Valance. Total/Available XP: 175/0. History: The programming for TK-412A came online 43 BBY using a discarded RKO Series protocol droid housing to disguise its use as an outlaw slicer. TK-421A was the first "prototype" made of a total 4 units for use by the Merson pirates. When the Clone Wars broke out all but TK-412A were scattered to be used for the Separatist war effort and disappeared towards the end of the war. TK-412A however was deactivated and forgotten until around 6BBY when he was found by a smuggler at a lost Merson pirate base. Not knowing the droid's worth he was sold to a droid market until by clever programming TK-412A was able to slice into the shops computer and 'buy' himself. He has since been out learning about the galaxy around him and how he can make a credit. TK-412A cares little about his 'brothers' TK413A, TK414A and TK415B and only became concerned about the fate of TK414A because of the bounty placed on all the TK-droids. He now plans on finding a new body to place his programming and upgrade his functions enough to not rely on organics as much as possible. He hears of the legend of 'Droid World' but does not wish to serve under others, he wishes to be his own droid. TK-412A wears a fake retraining bolt as to fool organics that he is owned and 'under control'. He also has a dent in his forehead that he somehow obtained during his years deactivated in the lost pirate base. He is willing to work with organics as he has no real problem with them, he just does not like them. |
Gender: Male Programming
Age: 43 Years Height: 1.8 Meters Build: Slim Hair: None Eyes: Gold (glowing) Notable features: TK-412A has a RKO Series protocol droid body reddish in color with a fake restraining bolt. He also has a dent in his forehead. The TK-series of slicer droids were a dream of the Merson outlaw tech only known as 'Rigger'. Using the 4 shells of the RKO Series protocol droids he figured that they would be properly disguised while doing their illegal jobs. He was correct and they first served the pirate, and then Separatist, with great success.
At the end of the Clone Wars the droids were scattered to escaping members of the CIS except for the prototype TK-412A who was left behind on a base that failed to self destruct after its evacuation. After a few years the knowledge of these droids leaked out and several planetary systems, and eventually the Empire, placed bounties out on these droids with little success as TK-413A is owned by a powerful Hutt and TK-415B is under the protection of an Imperial captain using the information gathered to advance in the ranks. Only TK-414A was destroyed by Beilert Valance when it was deemed by many in the underworld that the information it had would damage too many organizations. TK-412A is still under the radar as he just became active a few years ago, but that is now changing... |
